In 2021, Evergreen a United Neighbourhood received a $84,900 Resilient Communities Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to rebuild and recover from the impacts of Covid-19. We used the one-year grant to hire a project manager, redesign our website, and purchase technology solutions, health and safety equipment and other materials needed to deliver programming in the Simpson-Ogden neighbourhood.

This investment by the Ontario Trillium Foundation enabled Evergreen to continue programs for residents of the Simpson Ogden area.

“The impact of this grant cannot be underestimated,” said Nick Mrozek, Chair of Evergreen a United Neighbourhood. “This grant has allowed us to recover and continue to deliver vital programming from the Evergreen House. Continuing programming from the Evergreen House allows us to create a safe place for clients and staff to access food, and continue to provide strong, community-oriented programming.”

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario and one of Canada’s
leading granting foundations.
